Josh Jacobs was the engine that drove the Green Bay Packers' offense in Week 6 as they got back to winning ways with victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, the running back thriving even while feeling a long way from his best.

Jacobs had his best game of the 2025 season, rushing for 93 yards and two touchdowns while also adding 57 yards as a pass-catcher to finish with 150 from scrimmage.

He was the offensive star of the 27-18 victory, with Jacobs powering the Green Bay attack despite suffering significantly with illness.

Jacobs revealed that he was vomiting before and during the game at Lambeau Field, though the sickness proved no barrier to him helping the Packers improve to 3-1-1 on the season.

And, in terms of excelling through ill health, it was a case of Jacobs repeating a feat from earlier in his career, having produced a strong display in similar circumstances during his time with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Jacobs has another 'flu game'

Asked about his team-mates comparing his performance to Michael Jordan's famous 'flu game' in the 1997 NBA Finals, Jacobs told reporters: "I didn’t feel too good today. You can kind of tell right now, I don’t feel the best.

"Throwing up during the game, before the game. I really don’t know where it came from. Just woke up this morning not feeling my best.

"I told them, I said ‘last time I felt that way I had 130 and two TDs' so it is what it is."

Pressed on his vomiting during the game, Jacobs revealed that his illness may present some challenges for the media team tasked with compiling clips from a game in which had a microphone attached to his uniform.

Jacobs, who said he was ready to go lay down after the game, will now hope to recover quickly and deliver another instrumental showing when the Packers face the Arizona Cardinals on the road in Week 7.
